CGA-IGC is pleased to announce a new partnership with Project DNA and the City of Hope to offer educational scholarships totaling $10,000 to support participation in the City of Hope Intensive Course on Genomic Cancer Risk Assessment.
These scholarships aim to equip awardees with the skills to deliver genetic risk assessment and testing in their clinical practice, while supporting the development or expansion of genetic testing infrastructure at their home institutions.
The Project DNA scholarship will cover course-related costs (excluding travel) associated with participation in the City of Hope Intensive Course on Genomic Cancer Risk Assessment. To maximize scholarship and educational opportunities, the City of Hope will offer course enrollment at a 50% discount off the listed rate. CGA-IGC offers Clinical Cancer Genomics Community of Practice members a discounted first year of membership and discounted registration to the CGA-IGC annual meeting.

Applicants will be notified between late August and late September and must attend the CGA-IGC Annual Meeting in Denver, CO, from November 2-4, 2026. Scholarship recipients will also be invited to the CGA-IGC Awards Reception on the evening of November 1, 2026, to be recognized.
If selected for the award:
A short biography and headshot will be requested for use in media materials by CGA-IGC to announce and celebrate the award.
Awardees will be required to submit a brief report two years after receiving the scholarship describing how the training supported their professional development and their ability to provide genetic risk assessment and testing.
