Advancing Early Detection: Dr. Jessica St. Laurent Receives CGA-IGC Research Grant for Innovative Lynch Syndrome-Associated Endometrial Cancer Study

We are delighted to announce that the 2024 CGA-IGC Research Grant recipient, is Jessica St. Laurent, MD.  


Her research underscores the critical importance of hereditary GI cancer research in advancing our understanding, clinical practices, and patient care.


The CGA-IGC Research Grant, awarded for 24 months supports research that focuses on any hereditary gastrointestinal cancer risk and directly promotes the mission of CGA-IGC. It was awarded to Dr St Laurent for her study "A Novel, Non-Invasive Approach to Early Detection of Lynch Syndrome-Associated Endometrial Cancer."


Jessica St. Laurent, MD, is a Gynecologic Oncologist in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Dana Farber Cancer Institute and a Reproductive Scientist Development Program Scholar NIH K12 program scholar. She leads the Gynecologic Oncology Laboratory and Endometrial Cancer Center at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Her career is focused on closing gaps in our knowledge of endometrial cancer biology and bringing new therapies to women with this disease. Dr St Laurent's laboratory focuses on Lynch syndrome-associated endometrial carcinoma and has made several important contributions with the Dana Farber Lynch Syndrome Center, including manuscripts under consideration on rates of EIN at the time of risk-reducing hysterectomy and rates of non-endometrioid endometrial carcinoma in Lynch carriers.
